A Journey through the Sights, Sounds, and Flavors of Hong Kong
Our company outing this year took us to the vibrant city of Hong Kong. We kicked off our trip on a high note, flying in on the first flight Friday morning and arriving at Hong Kong International Airport bright and early. Our team split into two buses and headed straight to K11 Musea for our first meal in the country. With a wide range of food options available, everyone was able to choose their preferred dish, setting the tone for a great trip ahead.
After lunch, we made our way to Victoria Peak, where we enjoyed breathtaking view of the city and capture the moment with the stunning skyline as our backdrop.
Next, we checked into the Royal Garden Hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui, our home for the next three days and two nights. After freshening up, we headed to Passion and Crafts, a local restaurant in the neighborhood of Tsim Sha Tsui. We enjoyed a Lauriat dinner together, bonding as one team and one family. For our final destination of the day, we gathered together to watch the mesmerizing Symphony of Lights Show at Victoria Harbor.
The highlight of our trip was the second day, where we spent the whole day at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. We arrived early to maximize our time and enjoy the shows and extreme rides at the park.
The night ended with the spectacular fireworks show, leaving us all in awe.
On our third and last day, we had some free time to explore the city on our own. Some of us attended a Sunday Mass at Rosary Church, A 10 minute walk away from our hotel, while others went shopping and sampling the local cuisine.
As we reflected on our amazing adventure, we were grateful for the opportunity to travel abroad as a team and bond over new experiences. We want to thank everyone at eScience who made this trip possible, and we look forward to our next company outing. The exciting question is, where to next?
