eScience Asia Pacific Pty Ltd, the new regional headquarters of eScience Corporation, joined the IT Secrets of Australian IT Innovation Competition and was chosen as one of the 5 finalist in the IT Entertainment category. eScience specializes in Mobile Content Development, Mobile Systems Integration, Hosting Services, POS Integration, and Mobile Corporate Solutions. The innovation submitted to the Secrets of Australian IT Innovation was its Mobile Karaoke Product. This innovation allows mobile phone users to use their mobile phone as a karaoke machine giving greater meaning to the term “Mobile Entertainment”.

The development of the Mobile Karaoke was in Symbian and will work with most Symbian and Java enabled mobile phones from Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Siemens, Samsung, etc. It was launched late last year in the region and was downloaded by over 100,000 users in 3 months. The innovation has tremendous potentials in other markets in Europe, and Asia Pacific including Japan, Korea, and China, where Karaoke is a popular form of entertainment.
